PAG
Year 2000 Päivi Garam wants to turn her career towards a new direction. Päivi's kids have all grown up, and finally she has the time to do what she wants: to study artisan work on the clothing sector. At the same time her husband Sami Garam goes from working as a chef to appearing on TV and radio programmes and magazine articles about food.
Year 2004 The Garams combine their dreams and launch their company—it's the Big Bang of PAG. Values such as natural materials, artisan work, quality, ethics, sustainable development and Finnish workmanship play an important role in the company. The Garams let their creativity roam free, giving birth to several product groups with printed mammouths, texts, traditional figures, street hatches... all sold in their tiny Helsinki shop of cult status. Since then the main focus has shifted to T-shirts, bags and products around Sami's work in the kitchen.
Year 2010 PAG starts looking into globalising the business. Päivi's ideas for T-shirts and bags are flourishing. A collection signed by Sami Garam is available at last.
Year 2034 PAG is a living legend and the Garams are ready to retire. |
